Your one-stop horseback vacation
We are three neighboring ranchers who
recognize the unique beauty of our ranches in the
Pine Ridge of Nebraska and have a desire to
share this beauty with others. We're just ordinary
people and enjoy the guests who somehow turn
into good friends overnight.
Trail Boss:
Jim Lees is the trail boss of the outfit and brings to
the High Country Ranch Ride 25 years experience
with the US Forest Service and has ridden more
than 10,000 miles of wilderness trails in Colorado,
Wyoming and Nebraska.  Jim is an avid historian
and with a little encouragement will tell stories
around the campfire and along the trail.
Wagonmaster:
Our wagonmaster, Gary Fisher, has been handling
horses all his life.  His team of Percheron mares,
Betsy and Babe, is experienced on the ranch trails
as well as parades in town.  Anyone not wanting to
ride horseback is welcome to take a ride in the
wagon.
NEBRASKA HIGH COUNTRY RANCH RIDE
Chief Cooks and Bottle Washers
Since this is such an important job, it has been
delegated to the women of the crew: Dixie Lees,
Myrna Betson and Nancy Fisher.  These ladies will
rustle up some grub for you, make your
reservations and get the bunkhouses ready.  You
may also find them riding point or drag on the
trail rides.
